Hi, my name is Kimberly Seeherman, event design expert and owner of Events by Fabulous. Today we're going to talk about how to decorate dining chairs for the Christmas or holiday season. I have picked out a very standard chair here. It's called the Chiavari chair and it's something that you could pick up from any rental company, local near you. We have them for rental available on our website and I'm sure wherever you live you can find them as well. It's great because if you're having a dinner party with 20 or 30 people, chances are you don't have 20 matching dining chairs. So chairs like this rent starting about seven dollars and I think it's a great investment to really make your dining table look spectacular and uniform. So I'm going to show you today how to do a fun little decorative element on the Chiavari to tie it in to the rest of the tablescape that we've designed here. And as you can see, we've come up with this gorgeous rustic chic look using greens and burlaps and I'm going to apply that here in the decorative element we're going on the chair. So you're going to take your decorative mesh and you're going to thread it through the chair like so. Then you're going to take your burlap ribbon, gather all the decorative mesh together, tie the burlap ribbon around the mesh and before you make the knot really tight you just want to make sure that you've actually equally spaced the deco mesh to just kind of equally space it on the top of the chair, scrunch it together, tie it on with a bow, voila. Next you're just going to trim the edges of the bow. I like to make these cute little bow tie edges, I think they're very festive and fun. Lastly, to finish off the masterpiece I'm just going to add a spray painted pine cone. I'm going to take a bit of wire, wrap it around the pine cone, thread it through the bow, right below it and there you go. I like to put it off a little asymmetrical just to give it a little more edge. So enjoy, I hope all of your friends and family will love sitting in these beautifully decorative dining room seats.
