I'm Siona Sammartino, and this is how to roast macadamia nuts. Decadent, buttery and delicious, macadamia nuts are quite the treat. They're definitely expensive and have gotten a bad rap because they're high in fats, but a large percentage of their fats are actually the good kinds, the monounsaturated fatty acids. And when you roast them, it pops the flavors and it makes them more easily digested. Love it, here's how you do it. Begin by preheating your oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit. Next add the macadamia nuts in a single layer to a shallow glass baking dish, or even a cookie sheet. Roast in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until the nuts become fragrant and lightly golden brown. Store in an airtight glass container to preserve the crunch, and it's as easy as that. That's how you roast macadamia nuts.
