I'm Siona Sammartino. And this is how to bake and prepare pumpkin seeds. These are plant-based protein at it's finest. I love what happens to pumpkin seeds when you pop them in the oven and dry toast them. The flavors come out, they get nice and crunchy, the aromas are alive. And they're more easily digested this way as well. To get started, preheat your oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit. Place your seeds in a single layer on a baking sheet or a shallow glass baking dish.Pop them in the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, until the seeds are dry toasted. The seeds are done when thy puff up like pillow pockets, change into more of a golden color. And lastly, when you bite into them and they have an amazing crunch and nuttiness. Store in an airtight container such as a mason jar, to preserve the texture. Now, they're ready to go and top your morning oats, granola, salads or eat alone as a snack.
