Good day, everyone. I'm Joshua Clement with Lighty Contractors, and today I want to talk to you about how to tell which way a ceiling fan is moving. When it comes to a ceiling fan you want to make sure that your blades are moving the right way depending on which season it is. One of the easiest ways to tell is by going clockwise or counter clockwise. And what I do there is I turn off all the power to the fan, and then I pull the switch. When I pull the switch I see which way the blades start to move and I can register whether it's clockwise or counter clockwise. So as you could see this fan is moving counter clockwise, counter clockwise is the direction that you want it to run through the summer time. The way that you switch it to run a different direction is there's a little switch here located right above the lights that will make it run clockwise and you want to run clockwise through the winter time, that way it pushes all the heat that's up on the ceiling down so you can actually use that heat rather than losing it through your ceiling. I'm Joshua Clement with Lighty Contractors and we just discussed how to tell which way the ceiling fan blades are moving. Thanks for watching, good luck with this project.
