Good day, everyone. I'm Joshua Clement with Lighty Contractors. And today I'm going to talk to you about how to secure a ceiling fan to a concrete ceiling. For this job you'll need a couple different tools. For this job I'll be using a battery powered drill with a concrete bit, a Phillip's tip bit number two with an extension, masonry screws and a pencil. Now for the sake of demonstration, I'll be using a concrete block. First thing you'll do is take your box, put it where you want it to go. Use your pencil and mark the holes on the bottom of the box so that way you know exactly where your screws go. Now when choosing the size bits you need, make sure you take your screws and you don't want the bit to be bigger than the threads. You want it the same size as the shaft of the screw. Then using your drill you'll drill out. Now that we have our holes predrilled, take your box, put it in to place, get your Phillip's tip on, and your screw. Take your screw, put it on your drill, put it over the hole and screw it in. Now you'll repeat the process for every hole. After you get all your screws mounted, you're ready to mount your fan. And this is a very secure way to mount your fan. I'm Joshua Clement with Lighty Contractors. We just talked about how to mount a ceiling fan to a concrete ceiling. Thanks for watching. Good luck with this project.
