Hi, I'm Craig the Barber, with Themensroom.com and I'm here at Lloyd's Barber Shop at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel and Bungalows in Santa Monica, California. and today I'll be talking to you about how to shave with old fashioned razors. The most important thing to remember when shaving with old fashioned razors are using the right angles. When you are shaving with a straight razor and when you are shaving with a DE razor or a double edge razor, it's very important to make sure that you stay within the right angles. Doing so will give you a close and comfortable shave just like you were shaving with a cartridge razor. When shaving with a straight razor keep in mind it's a very sharp blade. So making sure that you don't go any further than about 30 degrees on the surface of the skin will give you a nice and close and comfortable shave every time. And as far as using a double edged razor, stick with using the technique of putting the top of the blade or top of the razor on the surface of the skin first and slowly bring the blade down to your face. Sticking with those two quick and easy tips, you are set. I'm Craig the Barber, with Themensroom.com. Thanks for watching.
