Hi, my name is Jamie Levine from chefjamielevine.com, and today I'm going to show you how to freeze vegetable soup. So got my soup, you want to put it in the freezer you got to first cool it down. So a trick to cooling it down is to take a whisk and whisk it, incorporate some air in there. Another thing I like to do is put it in an ice water bath. Get it down. You are going to want it to 40 degrees before you put it on the freezer. So once that's down to 40 degrees go ahead and just get a pasta container. You want to do, I like doing them in smaller portions so I can just grab a dinner at a time. But you are going to pour it in and just make sure the container is freezer safe. And you are also going to leave about half of an inch of room because it will expand. Label it, date it. And that's your vegetable soup. It is ready to go into the freezer.
