Hi, my name is Maureen Murphy. I am here at Escada Hair and Beauty Spa in Norwood, Massachusetts. Today, I'm going to show you how to make a spiral perm look loose and natural and the first thing that you want to do is get the right perm for your hair type so if you have tinted hair or fine hair or resistant hair you want to make sure that you have the right perm for your hair type. The next thing you want to do is make sure that it's a soft perm and not a firm perm. A soft perm will create a more looser curl. Now the difference between a spiral perm and a regular perm is the spiral perm rods go up and down all across the hair. A regular perm goes from the front all the way to the back all in the same direction. Now a spiral perm to make it look natural and loose, the first thing you want to do is use large rollers, the larger the roller the looser the curl is going to be and another trick to make it look very natural and curly is to roll them in different directions.
