Hi, I'm Michelle Dittrich, coming to you from Pretty Snow Studio in New York City. Today, our beauty topic is the difference between chemical hair color versus vegetable hair color. So the difference between a bleach which will be a chemical and lightening your hair and a vegetable which actually adds. So whenever you darken your hair, you are enriching your hair, you are adding to and when you add a bleach, a chemical that lightens, you are subtracting which weakens the hair as well as dries out the strands. So the difference between them is what do you want your hair to do. A lot of women that have very fine hair actually choose to bleach their hair because it gives a fuller effect to the strand by drying it out, it gives a little bit more body and volume to their hair. So if you want to use a Henna or anything chemical those are the options as well, most major brand lines have chemicals of some sort in them so you know, you just need to research what you want your end result to be. Are you going to enrich or are you going to add volume or lighten, that's up to you but I've just talked to you a little bit about the differences between vegetable and chemical hair colors.
