Hi, I'm Farm to Table Chef, Teca Thompson at TecaThompson.com. And today, we're talking about how to grow bloody butcher corn. So, bloody butcher corn is a decorative corn in the dent category. However, if it's harvested early and roasted or fried, you can actually eat it. So, it's pretty much the same guidelines for a sweet corn. I'm going to start with a very fertile, very moist area in my garden that I've free cleared weeds. And I'm just going to make about one inch down hole, about a foot apart and the holes will be about six inches apart. So, then I'm just going to take my bloody butcher seeds, as you can see, they're red instead of the normal corn seed, which is like a yellow. So, I'm going to place them right down in the holes, like so and then, we're going to cover them up. I'm just going to cover the seeds up and then, we're going to generously water them into the ground. Now, you'll want to make sure with this variety of corn and most varieties of corn, to keep it hydrated very well, it'll take about one and half inches of water per week. And then, you can continue to fertilize it as well with something like blood meal or organic compost. And you'll want to keep the area free of weeds. And that is it, that is how you grow bloody butcher corn. I am Farm to Table Chef, Teca Thompson at TecaThompson.com, thank you for watching.
