Hi, my name is Christina Gavenda with DomesticFelicity.com. And today, we're going to talk about safety rails for a child's bed. When your toddler is ready move form their crib to a larger bed, you have a couple of options. You can buy a toddler bed, which already, usually comes with safety rails on it and your baby's mattress fits right from the crib into that bed frame. Or, if you'd like to start them out on a twin size bed or larger, you can buy safety rails that insert and keep your baby safe from falling onto the floor. These safety rails have rods that extend and lock into place on both ends and then, the rail itself sits flush with the bed, with the rods pushed underneath the mattress. And it has other safety features, such as this disk that fits on the other side of the mattress and a strap that you tighten. So that it pulls the rails tight to it, so that it's firmly strapped to the mattress. A safety rail like this doesn't have to be expensive, people often buy them and only use them for a short period of time in their child's life and then, resell them. I got this one for three dollars.
