Hi, my name is Christina Gavenda with Domesticfelicity.com, and today I'm going to talk about how to get your toddler to sit still while you're doing their hair. This can be really stressful for you or your child learning how to distract them so you can get a rubber band in or a clip or a head band on but it doesn't have to be a painful or stressful time. Find out what interests your child and what will get them to sit quietly while you very gently put their hair up in whatever fashion that you're trying to achieve. Things like books are a great way to engage them, helping them to keep their heads still because they're sitting there looking at one thing the whole time. Depending on their age something that's noisy and that they can chew on might be more appropriate. It jingles and it's really plush for their teeth that they're teething. If they're older a pad of paper and some markers might be really fun too. These are just a few ideas to help your toddler sit still.
