Hey Dave Johnson, editor of eHow Tech and when we think about Tech gifts uh you know gadgets for folks uh often we’re talking about stuff that’s really functional, tablets, phones, Bluetooth headsets, that sort of thing but what if you just want to have fun? How about with a helicopter? How about a radio controlled helicopter that you control with your phone or your ipad? And how about if that helicopter also dropped ping pong balls? Sounds like fun huh? Well that’s what this guy is, it’s the Dream Cheeky I-Strike Shuttle and let’s open this up and see what’s inside and actually fly it around and see how well it works. So it’s got plastic like a sandwich here, so we open it up and that’s what we get. I can see there’s the helicopter and landing gear uh and let’s see here’s the charging cable, some spare blades for the uh helicopter blades and this is training wheels, so let’s put this thing together. So that’s the helicopter all assembled, we’ll add the ping pong ball payload. Last thing we need to do is charge it up. So that goes right there, plug the other end into my laptop for a few minutes. So we’ll top off the battery, come back in a few minutes, and actually take this thing for a spin. Okay so we’re ready to fly, I’ve installed the I-Strike app on my ipad, I could also do it on my iphone. So this is the I-Strike interface, It’s really easy to fly. You just raise that up and down to make the helicopter go up and down, That makes your helicopter move left and right, that drops the ping pong ball, and the emergency stop is really handy when it’s about to go into a tree. I’ve connected the two with Bluetooth and we’re ready to fly. Ah look at that go. And I’m going to drop the ping pong ball in about three seconds, so three, two, one. And let’s set it back down. Awesome.
