My name is Susan Combs, and I'm an insurance broker for Combs and Company. Today, we're going to talk about insurance lead strategies. As any insurance professional that is in sales will tell you they always need to be looking to fill their pipeline. So as soon as they close one deal they have to be looking for the next one or have one in the wings that's ready to close. So the best thing to do is there's different ways that you can look at trying to get leads and referrals. One of the best ways that I've found is going to be through networking so with networking groups. You know with the networking groups a lot of times there's non overlapping industries that are in them and they are leads groups so you are actually looking, everybody is looking to build their book of business and they are there for the same purpose. Another thing you can look at if you are very good at telemarketing is you can look at buying a leads list. So you can either, you know call that list directly or you can send them mailers and try to get leads that way. Another thing is is your community. If you are actively involved in different things, you know, maybe you are a Chamber of Commerce, maybe you are a church, maybe you are a synagogue, you know look to be active in the community and then you'll be looked at for the go to person when it comes to when they need to have an insurance policy in place. So there's very, you know a lot of different methods in doing this, there's a lot of sales books out there but I've found that the best ones are going to be networking and being involved in your community and also look at lists that are going to be beneficial to you.
