Hi, Russell Berkley here, registered piano technician in San Diego, California. Today, we’re going to talk about removing scratches from a walnut piano. We’re going to use a finish restorer that’s available at most hardware stores – you can only get out light scratches with this. It works really well for just finger scratches, cat scratches – there’s all kinds of stuff. You just apply a little bit onto the rag and wipe it into the finish. Go with the grain. That should take out all of your scratches and all your little marks. If you have bigger scratches, you’re going to need to take it to a refinisher.
