Hi, Russell Berkley here, registered piano technician in San Diego, California. Today, we're going to talk about piano hammers. Piano hammers are manufactured under great pressure. They are made of wool and the wool is pushed over this molding that holds the hammer under great tension and then they are stapled at the bottom. If your piano, the ends are coming up on your hammers, there's no way to fix that and don't let anybody tell you there is because there is such tension there that no glue will hold it. You need to replace it with a new hammer. You can have your local piano technician do that for you. This is Russell Berkley in San Diego, California.
