Hi, Russell Berkley here, registered piano technician in San Diego, California. Today, we’re going to talk about how to find out how old your piano is. Well, the only way you can find out is through the serial number. The serial number can be stamped on the plate, which is the harp. It could be stamped on the soundboard. Or, it could be behind the key slip. On this particular piano, you pull the key slip off, and you can see it’s stamped on the action. You can look this number up in the Pierce Atlas – it’s online, or you can buy the book. It’s a really good way to find out exactly how old your piano is. This is Russell Berkley, piano technician. Thanks for stopping by, and we’ll see you again real soon.
