Hi, my name is David Alemian, host of the "It's About Money" radio show. You know, I've been a life insurance agent and for over 18 years. People are always asking me questions about life insurance. Well, one of the things I get asked about is, how to compare quotes? And compare, I mean, life insurance quotes is very similar to comparing almost quotes about any type of insurance, they're all have the same principles. And it's really a matter of asking questions and looking at answers. For example, you want to look at several things like, how much is the premium? Of course. And will the premium level or will it go up over time? And if the insurance premium can go up, can it possibly come down? Because some insurances, your insurance premium can go down. And if your premium can go up or come down, the question to ask is, what would cause your premium to go up or down? Now, the other thing you want to look at is, what is covered under the policy and what is excluded in the policy? In other words, what doesn't the policy cover? And are there things in that particular policy that you don't need. And finally, does the policy do what you need it to do, does it give you the protection you need, doe sit give you peace of mind? Now, after you do your comparison, if you are not absolutely, positively sure, which of those policies that you've been comparing,is the right one for you. Contact an insurance agent, show that insurance agent the policies that you've been looking at. Ask that agent the same questions you've been asking yourself and then, ask the agent's opinion. Before the agent gives you his or her opinion, a good agent and this is how you can tell a good one, a good agent will ask you questions. And probably ask you a lot of questions, so they can find out more about you and what you need. Then, that agent can give you a good opinion of what's the best policy for you. After you've gathered all that information and you've compared everything, not only the questions and policies you've looked at. But also compare that to the answers and advice that the agent gave you. Then, you should be able to make the right choice for you.
