Hi, I'm T. Cooper. I'm a New York City makeup artist, hair stylist and co founder of beauty and grooming company Metro Look. Today, we're going to do a rockabilly hair style. So the rockabilly hair styles are a lot of fun they really are because a lot of them are based on those 1950's Elvis, James Dean Grease looks that we have going on. I've already taken the liberty of parting my model's hair on the side. Now as you can see, I've already put a little bit of product in his hair. And it's going to be OK but his hair is still naturally wants to go backward. So in order to make his hair want to go forward I'm going to incorporate some mousse and then I'm going to blowdry it going forward just so that I can get a little bit more height going on. So got my good old fashioned mousse. Got a ball. Going to work it through. And now got my round brush and I'm going to take my blow dryer and I'm actually going to blow his hair going forward. As you can see I'm blowing it forward and back. Now what that did was that's going to allow me to get more height when I want to get it to go backward this way because the hair is going this way so in order to get it to go back there's going to be some height as you can see already. So now I'm just going to smooth this side on over. You see I've got some fabulous height already going on. And then just work it back. And you might need to go on in with a little bit of product like some styling gel or some styling wax do what you want. You can even style it with a round brush. At this point just to help it aid it get a little bit more height, and you smooth the sides down. Nice and slick. Almost like John Travolta in Grease. You slick the sides down. It's all about the height that you get on top. And if you need to push it up a little bit you can totally do that. And personally I would just go in with just a little bit more product, slick down the sides just so that this looks a little bit higher in the front so you can tell the difference in height.
