Hi ,my name is Cathleen Tseng. I'm the owner and creative director of Sunny Kilogram. Tumblr is a great micro blogging platform that allows you to share pictures, texts, video and audio with the world. Today I'm going to show you a few tricks so you can spice up your Tumblr blog. Let's get started. The first trick is very simple but useful. You can filter your dashboard by appending a string of texts to the end of Tumblr.com. So I'm logged into Tumblr here and let's say that I just want to see audio posts on my dashboard. Well all I need to do is let's delete this dashboard here and type the word show/audio and click enter okay? There we go. Now I only see audio posts from the people that I follow and this is really great because it's not limited to just audio posts. Let's go back to the dashboard and all of these media types are available for you to do a filter so I can also for example, just type show/text and I just see a bunch of text posts. The second trick I'm going to show you is how to search through a Tumblr blog by date. So let's navigate to the Tumblr blog of Live.com, alright so let's say that I'm interested in searching for all the posts that were created on a specific day. Well all I have to do is append/day/year/month/day, okay? I mean I'm just showing you the format. You're going to keep the word day here but for year, you're going to enter the year in digits okay? So let's search for 2013 and let's do January 2, alright, so I'm going to hit enter and there we go. Here is all the content that was posted on January 2 by Live.tumblr.com. Another trick I'm going to show you is how to find out the date and time that a post was created. It's actually deceptively simple. So let's go back to our dashboard here and I'm going to click on Tumblr so I'm back in my dashboard and all you have to do is let's say, let's go a little bit further down but all you have to do is roll over the upper right hand side of a post and wait for it and there we go. It's showing us that this post was created at 3:09 p.m. today. The next trick is one of my favorites. It's a big time saver. Before when you wanted to ask a user a question, you'd have to click into a person's blog for example let's pick this one and then you have to find the ask me anything or ask link and click on that to get to the ask page and finally type in your question. Well now you don't have to do that any more. Let's go back to the dashboard and all you have to do is roll over the user's icon until you see this info button here and just click on it and you should get a drop down that includes the ask option. So I can just go ahead and click on that and type my question right here and submit it. The last trick I'm going to show you is also very neat. So you can actually see a tile of photos on your dashboard by simple appending the work photos after Tumblr.com. So let's do this. So I'm going to remove dashboard and in its place type photos and click on okay and there we go. Now we have a pretty page of photos created for my dashboard.
