Hi, I’m Lisa Nielson, beauty maven and celebrity makeup artist. And today, we’re talking about how to apply translucent powder to your legs. So, translucent basically means that it’s adaptable and it will adjust to any skin tone. You may find this technique useful for several different instances. One might be for a swimsuit if you’re modeling on a runway. Or, if you were doing a pageant and you had to have bare legs – for example, for a swimsuit competition. Also, if you’re a dancer, or if you’re into bodybuilding and you had a competition. Basically, translucent powder is used for oil absorption. So, if you’re applying it down the leg, you would want to go to the area of the leg that the light is going to hit directly. So, this model, Hailey Spung, we’re going to down the line of her leg, sort of like where that light is going to focus and hit the main center of her leg. We want to eliminate the shine on her leg so that it looks just nice and pretty, and there’s no, like, overwhelming glare on her leg on stage. You can just work down in sort of a downward motion down the leg onto the top of the foot. And, you don’t want it to look chalky or cakey, so just the right amount is what I would advise here. Great! So, I’m Lisa Nielson, and that’s how I would advise using translucent powder on your legs.
