Hi, I'm Dan Reinecke with Unknown Media, and today I'm going to share with you how to get some good bokeh effect with 135 millimeter lens. First when someone refers to bokeh they are referring to a light source in the background of a photo that is blurred out. When this happens, the light appears as a blur. So you get the effect of a glowing orb in the background. Now what this ultimately comes down to is the depth of field, so when you are using 135 millimeter lens this is actually a very easy thing to achieve because the longer your lenses and the closer your subject is to the lens, the less depth of field you will have. Basically the longer your lens is and the further away your subject is from the background, the more blurry your background is going to be and when you have lights back there, they are also going to be blurry giving your photos a nice bokeh effect. So as long as you have lights in your background and as well as keeping your subject relatively close to your 135 millimeter lens, you'll have no problem achieving a bokeh effect.
