Today lets quickly discuss how with three easy steps you can utilize interior design to create a lasting impression with your apartment decor. First, color. Color's a great way to set the tone for your decor. Largely because you achieve the design goal of emphasis. Whether it be an accent wall or a large area rug the pop of color provides focal emphasis for your room while serving as a uniform backdrop to your furnishings. Just remember, when you've gone bold with color, add softer tones for the other tactile materials in the room. color works best when you're working within a monochromatic range rather than focusing solely on one hue. Second, artwork, artwork, artwork. A finished decor has a multitude of layers and it shows when every inch has been thought about. Whether you choose a large installation over your sofa or a series of photographs down a long hallway, having well placed art gives visitors insight into your personality while showing that no leaf has gone unturned in terms of detailing and accessorizing your apartment. Lastly, be creative with your storage and accessorizing. For example, in a children's bedroom why not use days of the week hooks to help your youngsters organize their wardrobes for the upcoming week.
