Hi, I'm Nelson Vercher. I'm here today at the Rita Hazan Salon with my gorgeous model, Tiffany, and today I'm going to demonstrate a low chic side bun with a barrette. What we're going to do is Tiffany here has already been set in big barrel curls and what we're going to do now is just show you how to do a really sophisticated easy bun which everyone can wear. So what you want to do is start by just brushing the hair over to the side. You want to make sure you know your face so you know which side you go to. One of the things I like to do is take a section of hair in the top out and leave it for later. So what we'll do is it's almost like a half circle you want to take out on the top. So you clip that out the way and then you want to drag everything over to the side here. And you get your bun nice and low, a little spray just to kind of finish it up and then I'm going to just use a nice rubber band, elastic band and you want to make sure you hold it very low, actually let's just get all of this hair out of the way because you want to be able to see what you are doing. And so we're just dragging this all over to the side. Make sure the ears are exposed and there you go. You have your ponytail in. So once your ponytail is in this is kind of what you are working with now. So now, you're going to take your comb and do a really easy back combing to it and you want to hide that, you want to hide that band and when you start to do your bun you just almost follow the formation of the curl and just push it right in and you start pinning, loosely and wherever it looks cool. Now with the top, because we are going for something sophisticated but we also want it to be modern and cool, I'm just going to brush that hair off the face to accentuate that wave and just swirl that into the bun. And then when you see your wave, I see it happening, you just want to pin it in there so you don't lose it. And you just wind it into the rest of the bun. Ooh la la, and then you just take your tail comb and you know, clean up anything that you've missed, finish with spray and then my last trick is adding a beautiful barrette and you just find where it looks great. I think it goes perfectly right in this little area here. And there you have it, a beautiful side bun with a gorgeous barrette. I'm Nelson Vercher here at the Rita Hazan Salon.
