Hi, I'm Nelson Vercher. I'm here at the Rita Hazan Salon, and today I'm going to demonstrate hairstyles done with a tail comb. I'm here with my beautiful model, Tiffany, and here we go. So, what I'm going to do with the tail comb, rat tail comb style is a really beautiful loose braid. And so what you want to do is you start by just a two strand and you're just constantly looping over. You want to make sure there's lots of great tension and you're just using your tail comb to control, make sure you are not getting any, and you know, when you are creating this braid you want to make sure you start off with it very tight because eventually you're going to use your tail comb to loosen it up, very tight, tail comb still in hand and just taking one section, joining it into the next section, taking another section and joining it into the next section, comb that, comb that, comb that, comb that, comb that, comb that, and then as you get toward the bottom you're lifting it up. So you are bringing all this hair up. You're bringing all this hair up and then just carry it, once you run out of hair you just carry the braid all the way through, using your index finger to gather new hair. And you just keep going until you run out of hair and then what you want to do is just take a, if you get any kind of bagginess you don't like you'll just go in there and then what you want to do, just open it up. Sometimes you have to go through and just detail a little bit after you shake it because although it's a loose look it's still quite together. This is a beautiful braid. I love this look. And then you just clean around the face and you can even just take little pieces out around the face this way with your tail comb just to keep the softness there. And then just finish up with a little bit of spray. And there you have it, your rat tail look. I'm Nelson Vercher here at the Rita Halzan Salon. Thank you. I hope you enjoy.
