Hi, my name is Michelle Dittrich, and today I'm going to show you how to do emo scene style on short hair. So what emo is ultimately is how you portray well not the total definition of it is, but how you portray your emotions visually to others around you. Like what are you saying about yourself by the way you present yourself. So a lot of emotions are very colorful and have a lot of definition particularly in the eyes, they are your window to your soul so that's how you are like really defining yourself without saying a word. So when you are presenting yourself you want to really give a defined eye because that's what you are you know, showing everyone, how do you view the world, how do they see you. So we've already gone ahead on our model, Christina, and given her a very like dark and defined eye. Look in her eyes for that. As well, we're going to, on the emo scene, slick her hair down a little bit. We're pulling it forward. If you have a flatiron, if you have curly hair, go ahead and use that to really bring the hair forward and you can also look too, I see a lot of this in my travels to Asia too like the very flatironed pulled forward hair, it's nice. So we're adding some pomade, some styling wax and giving it, and once again it's going to bring that emphasis to your face, to your eyes, to where you show your emotions and what color are they. So we're going to add some color into Christina's hair too. And, we're feeling very violet which is also the color of your crown chakra, not that that has anything to do with it, but in your crown chakra it's like a violet color. So I'm going to go ahead and accentuate that with violet. I'm using Mac Chromacakes, it's actually for body painting but it can be used on any part of your body and what's great about it is it doesn't get all crusty and dry. It can work with your hair but you don't necessarily have to dye your hair or bleach it first in order to get a cool color, particularly on dark hair. So I'm using the Mac Fix Plus as well with it. What this does is it gives the moisture to activate the Chromacake but also helps in the application once it has been applied to fix it. So it's not coming out unless you wash it out so you really have to like wash your hair full on to get it out. So, now that we've already brought more emphasis to your emotional eyes, we're going to add a little bit of color onto the bangs. I don't know if you can see this but it looks really pretty and it's another way for you to get and show your emotional creativity and be not just heard but seen by being creative and showing how you like to paint and show emotions. I mean there are so many artistic ways to show your emotions through music, through art and speaking of course, but. I like to do a little strike it's almost like an animal print too, kind of fun but you can play around. And don't be afraid to experiment with those before you are going out like do it one night when you are getting ready to take a shower before you go to bed just to play around because once you start, it's really fun and Mac makes so many different colors of Chromacakes like every color you could possibly imagine. You can mix and match. You can add glitter. You can do like whatever you want and it's not permanent so you can experiment and even further portray your emotions properly. So my name is Michelle Dittrich. I've just shown you how to do emo scene styles on short hair. You can visit my site, Michelledittrich.com to view more from my portfolio.
