Hello, I'm Scott Fontana, owner of Cristophe Salon, Newport Beach and we're here at Fashion Island, and I'm going to share with you some expert tips. Today we're going to talk about messy bob hairstyles. This is my model, Lauren, and you are probably asking yourself how am I going to get a messy bob hairstyle out of her hair because it's long. Well this is the coolest thing. This is great for somebody that's got really long hair and they want to actually do something different with it and create more of a messy bob. So what we've done with Lauren's hair she's got naturally kind of straighter hair so what we've done is we've curled it to create some texture and some volume and some messiness to it and after that what we're going to do is we're actually just going to tease it, just the ends, just to create more of a solid kind of foundation down here on the base. We're going to tease it all the way around and then what we're going to start doing is actually start pinning it up and create more of a fake messy bob. Now so what we're going to start doing is just actually start taking big sections, take our pins and just start pinning them in and just start pinning the hair up, up underneath here. Now you definitely want to put in as many pins as you want and as many pins as it's going to take to hold the hair up in the back. What we're using is just a very nice workable hairspray, hairspray. And this is one way to create a messy bob style.
