Hi! I’m Mariko. Today, I’m going to show you how to make brie with almonds and apples. This is one of my favorite snacks in the entire world. It’s really fast and easy to prepare, and it’s got lots of flavor. And, it’s also fun because it’s got that European flair. So, you could be there for lunch or a snack and noshing on a little brie and apples, and it’s absolutely divine. To get started, I am going to get a piece of my brie. There’s so many different types of bries out there. There is a lot of difference depending on the type of rind or the fat content, or even the type of cream they use. Today, I’m using just a basic brie that you can find at any store. So to serve my apples at brie, I’m going to put a few slices of brie on my plate. This is such a great snack, because you have a high protein content in the brie. Then, I’m going to slice an apple. I absolutely love eating cheese with apples – it’s such a great snack. Okay. This is also a delicious snack with other types of fruit as well. I love enjoying my brie with grapes, and especially pears. Now, I’m just going to put my apples on the plate like that. Okay. And now, it’s ready to garnish with some almonds. Today, I’m using a lightly salted and roasted almond, because I love that extra crunchy kick. Okay. Put a little there, even it out.
