Hi, I'm Rachael Prendergast, a certified health Coach out of Chicago, Illinois. Today, we're going to be going over healthy snacks that you can keep in your desk. After a long day at work, it's hard to not want to reach for that candy bar. So, if you have these healthy snacks on hand, it's going to be a lot easier. The firs tone I want to talk about is, organic rice cakes. These are made of whole grain, so they're not refined, so that's going to give you lasting energy throughout the day. They're also high in fiber, there's no fat, there's no sodium. And rice actually increases serotonin in the brain, which helps your mood stability throughout the whole day. And almonds, they're the most nutritious nut of them all, they contain vitamin E, calcium, magnesium and phyto-chemicals. Which prevent against cardiovascular disease and cancer. So, either choice is just a great one to have, it so much better than reaching for that candy bar that you're going to regret later. So, choose one of these healthy snacks and have them handy.
