Hi, everyone, I'm hairstylist, Amanda Shackleton, and I am here today to show you how to do formal hairstyles with ribbons. What I've done is I've started on our model doing a formal hairstyle but I've kept it a little wavy and a little bit more modern looking because sometimes hairstyles when you put ribbons in them can tend to look a little bit outdated so I wanted to keep it very modern and very simple and what I did was just pull her hair back very loosely into a ponytail and then with a ribbon, I took my ribbon, made it into a bow and then we're just going to go ahead and put it onto the side of the ponytail covering up the elastic part that's holding the ponytail together and we're going to put one, maybe two pins in here and there you go. It's a really pretty accessory to use on the hair. Ribbons, you can do all kinds of things with ribbons. Thank you very much for watching. I'm Amanda Shackleton and I'm a hairstylist.
