Hi, I'm hairstylist, Amanda Shackleton from NY Bridal Beauty, and today I'm here to show you how to make a chignon with a style maker. A lot of the times when clients come to me they want to wear their hair in a chignon, maybe a loose one or a more classic one but they don't have enough hair and their hair is not long enough so what I do is I suggest getting a style maker. Now you can get these in plastic which is actually a fake hair which you cannot curl or you can get them in a human hair. So it really is a matter of what your price point is and what your preference is. So what I've done is I've gone ahead and pulled the model's hair back into the position where I want to create the chignon and then I just take the stylizer, I just open it up, it's just an elastic, I put it over the hair so there you go. Now you see that it's in place and we're getting a lot of volume where we wouldn't have had it before if were to just use the natural hair. Once it's in place, let's go ahead and give it a little spray and then with a couple of pins we'll come in and just secure it here, one here and we would continue that all the way around until we're finished and there you go.
