Instagram

Ok say cheese! And let me send that to everyone I know. Done. You know I love, love taking photos with Instagram. My pictures look amazing and it's effortless to share them with friends and family or anyone. Here's how it's done. Life is crazy. I mean who has time to keep up with all the latest in social networking? I'm Carly Knoblach and if you stick with me I'll show you all the tech tools you need to get socially connected. Let's face it. We all use our smart phones to take pictures now. Right? And if you have an iPhone or an Android then you're going to love using instagram. It's kind of like having a camera, a dark room, and a huge social network all in one simple app. Instagram is unique because it's entirely mobile based. To get started just register and decide whether or not you want to keep the sharing setting to public. Think of it like a museum where you put your pictures in and anyone can visit. If it's set to public then other people on Instagram can find you and follow you which you know is the social part of a social network. Of course if you're looking for a private gallery then adjust the settings and that way you can pick and choose who you want to share your photos with. One of the reasons that Instagram is so fun and popular is the distinctive photo effects that can make anyone look like a pro. Click the blue camera button, shoot your picture, and wa la. hmmm, that looks ok but the photo effects make it really interesting. Check this one out, it makes it look really old fashioned. This one makes it look funky and retro and some settings will even let me shift focus to transform them from ok to OMG. You can also select photos you took with your regular camera and import it into Instagram by clicking right here. Then you can add effects to it in the exact same way. Sharing your photos is easy. You can link Instagram to your favorite social networks like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and foursquare in your settings. Just add a caption and choose where you want to post it. Here's how this one looks on Facebook. Here's where I can find my friends that are already snapping with Instagram and here's where I can find new people that I might want to follow. Oh, that's cool. And if you see something you like you can comment, like it or even tweet it. So those are the basics of Instagram.
