Hey, everybody, welcome to the kitchen. I'm your kitchen beautician, Robin McDonald. Today's video is how to make a homemade hair volumizer. Now what you are going to need two ounces of vodka. If you are like me you might have a couple of shot glasses on your own. A cup of apple juice, half an orange, half a lemon, and a nice warm towel. Now you have to remember that the less weight hair has on it the more volume it's going to appear to have. So what we want to do is use something that's going to have to break down the buildup of dead cells and oils that accumulate on the scalp and weigh your hair down. Now this is a pre-shampoo treatment. So you are going to do this before you go into your shampoo and conditioning routine which we'll talk about later. So on a wet head you want to take two shots of vodka in a cup of apple juice. The juice of half of an orange. And a lemon, don't worry about the seeds. Now you can either use a brush to brush this through. Dip it in. But a nice fine tooth comb is really the best way to do it. Just dip the comb into the solution and run it through your hair until the whole head is completely saturated. Then you just want to take clean fingertips and massage it into the hair, like I've done myself you can see. Sit for about 10 to 20 minutes. The longer the better. And your scalp might feel a little stimulated, that's fine. Don't worry about it. Then just jump in the shower and go on with your shampooing routine. Now when it comes to the conditioner you want to hold back a little bit on it. Don't use as much conditioner as you normally would. And just use you know rub the ends of the hair, the conditioner on the ends of the hair. And rinse completely and there you go. When you dry your hair you are going to see that it has a lot more life and buoyancy to it. It's a beautiful treatment. Thanks for joining me in the kitchen. I'm Robin McDonald.
