Hi, I'm T. Cooper and I'm a New York City makeup artiest, hairstylist and co-founder of Beauty and Grooming Company, Metro Look. Today, we're going to do a braided bridal hairstyle. Braids are so pretty and they're making this huge comeback and their so elegant and romantic and they're beautiful for a wedding. So for bride, for a braided hairstyle all you really need is a comb to section off the hair, so clear elastics, some hairspray to make it last and a three quarter inch curling iron, you can go bigger or smaller depending on how you like your curls. When I do braided hairstyles I like to leave a little bit of hair out in the front because I think it's nice and face framing and pretty. So what we're going to do is we're going to gather the hair all to one side, comb it out, just to make sure there aren't any tangles and one of my favorite braids to do is a rope braid. So with a rope braid you section the hair off into two and then you kind of twist it going away from your face, it takes a little bit of practice to get use to this motion. And you see how I did that? I did that with like my index finger and in between my, I guess you'd call this my middle finger and then you take the hair simultaneously and you twist it going away from your face. Then you just loosen it up where ever it needs to be loosened and then you can kind of rope it together going toward your face and you see how it kind of creates that rope look? And if any of the twists get undone because it does take a lot of practice and I've been doing rope braids for a while and it still happens to me and you just twist them going this way and then when you get to the end, you take a clear elastic and then you gather all the hair, like so. Now what we're going to do because we've got all this great texture and detail is we're going to take the hair, twist it around and then twist it underneath, I like to crisscross my bobby pins just to make sure the style is secure so you take the pin and you slide it underneath the braid, right into the base and then you take another pin, any little ends that are hanging like this, I like to leave them that way because I think it makes the look a little bit more romantic, but if you don't like it you can tuck it under and pin it. It's a beautiful, beautiful look and it looks like you did a ton of work and you really didn't. Look at that, isn't that pretty? So just to keep the look secure I'm going to take a little bit of hairspray and fix and little areas that I want to fix up. Then I'm going to take my three quarter inch curling iron and I'm just going to curl this piece that's left out up front, I'm going to wrap it around like so, wrap it around the wand, hold it for about maybe 5 seconds, give it a spray and then just mess it up a little bit with my fingers. And then here you have a beautiful gorgeous romantic hairstyle for a wedding using a braid. If you want to you can add a cute little accessory here or you can even take this curl and pin it back right there and then put an accessory at that side, however you'd like to work it, you absoultly can. I'm T. Cooper, thank you for watching.
