Hi, I'm T. Cooper. I'm a New York City Makeup Artist/Hairstylist and Co-Founder of beauty and grooming company, Metro Look. Today, I'm going to show you how to highlight a punk hairstyle. As you can see, my model's hair is totally punk out already, we created this hairstyle by putting two cornrows, one at each side and we tease the hair from the middle all the way up to the front. Now, that my model's hair is all punk-up and gorgeous, what we're going to do is we're going to put on a highlight. I say we go for drama by putting pink. Now, these are the clip-in extensions, you can use glue-in extension, you can use any kind extension that you like; but, I find that clip-ins tend to be a little bit easier. So, what we're going to do, you can do it, this is the option you can totally skip, you can just clip it on in, but I think that the clip in stays a little bit better if you tease the root just a little bit. I want to place the extension right there. So, what I'm going to do is just move over some of this teasing, some of this volume that I've already built. I'm just going to tease a little bit right here. What that does is it makes the texture just a little bit more rough and it gives the extension something to hold onto and it'll keep it in place and it won't slide down at all. Then, you see it has a little combs, you slide the comb onto the hair and then you snap it in place. And then, you put the hair that you've already styled right over it and if it's not grabbing the way that you want it to, that's what hairspray is for; you give it a good spray and I'm just going to comb it through just to blend it with the rest of the hair and then now it's extra funky. I'm going to show you what it looks like from the side. Now, we've got a cool punk hairstyle with a pink highlight in the back. I'm T. Cooper, thank you for watching.
