Hi, I'm T. Cooper, and I'm a makeup artist, hairstylist and co-founder of beauty and grooming business, Metro Look. Today I'm going to talk to you about a naturally curly hairstyle utilizing a headband or a hair clip. Today I think we're going to use a headband. My model has naturally wavy hair. There's a lot of texture in here so what I'm going to do is hairstyle where we bring it back and then we let the headband be the star. So for this hairstyle all we're going to need is some hairspray, a comb and some hairpins. So first what we're going to do is we're going to section it off, make a little part and then, I'm just going to twist the hair going backward and secure it with a pin. So you just do little twists and then right now once you feel that it's in a position that you think it looks good, you pin it down and you can crisscross your bobby pins just for added security. And you can repeat that on the other side, just section it off, give it a little twist going back and then when you are happy with where it's at then you go on and pin that in place and crisscross my pins once again just for added security. Now, once we do hairstyles with a headband, I always think that they look better if you just have a little bit of tease at the root so I'm going to gather some hair from the top of her head, I'm just going to give it a little spray and backcomb it, just for a little bit of lift at the crown and once you've done that, you gather all the hair in the back and then you twist that as well. I take it into two sections, two even sections and I'm going to twist that as well and then I'm going to pin it in place and I'm going to crisscross the bobby pin again, just for added security so it will last all day. Then I'm going to take this hair over here, then I'm going to bring it over it and twist it into here. So then I'm going to be pinning the hair into this section right here at the base. So you take your bobby pin and then you go underneath into the base and then you take another one, wrong color, I took a blonde one, and then you pin it in there as well and then you can just finger comb just to utilize her texture.
