Hi, I'm T. Cooper and I'm a New York City makeup artist and hair stylist, and I'm also co-founder of beauty and grooming business, Metro Look. Today, I'm going to show you how to a braided hairstyle for a brunette for a wedding. My lovely model here, we've already prepped he hair with a one inch curling iron. So, she's got plenty of texture in here. And if she's going to a wedding, we just want to do something fun to accentuate all this texture that we've created. So, for this hairstyle, all you need, is hairspray, a comb and clear elastics. And if your hair isn't wavy or curly, then you'll need a one inch curling iron as well. So, what I'm going to do, I'm going to take my comb, I'm going to part the hair, a deeper part on this side. And I'm going to section from the center to the hair in front of her ears. I'm going to go on, ahead and clip this hair out of the way. And then, I'm going to start, what is known as a feather braid. So, a feather braid is a hybrid of a French braid and something else. So, I don't know what the something else would be. But you start it like a French braid, but every time you braid, you pull out a section of hair. So, you start it normally, three sections of hair. And as you pick up, you drop a piece. And then, you pick up again, as normal and then, you drop another piece. And then, you continue to pick up and drop. And you do it till you have no more hair left, and then, you just start to braid normally. And but, you still continue to just pull out a section of the hair as you braid. And then, for this, I don't think I even need a clear elastic. I think that I can just spray and back comb it a little bit. So, I'm going to take a smaller comb, than the one I was using before, a really small tooth tail comb. And just back comb it, and I think, it'll stay, yeah, it's staying. So, then what you do, I'm going to take off the clip, because this section's already out of my way, is you take the hair that's left here. And you braid this very loosely as well, you keep going till you reach the bottom. And then, when you're done with that, you see, you have two kind of parallel braids and a little something going on in the middle. And you braid it down as far as you want to go, it's up to you, how far down you want to go. And then, I'm going to do the same thing, I'm just going to spray it, do a little back comb motion right there. And then, we're just going to pin this, all this detail, off to the side for a little, something special, when you're going to a wedding. Take a look at that, isn't that pretty? Bring the hair over, and I'm just going to use a little bit of Pomade to tame the flyaways, gorgeous. I'm T. Cooper and I just showed you how to do a braided hairstyle for a brunette for a wedding.
