Hi, I'm T. Cooper and I'm a New York City Makeup Artist and Hairstylist. And today, I'm going to show you how to do a 1940s updo. To me, a nice fun 1940s updo that's simple to do is kind of based on Rosie The Riveter. So, for this, what we're going to need is a can of hairspray, a hair tie and of course, a bandana. So, how we're going to start is we're going to just leave a little bit in the front because Rosie has that kind of bang thing in the front with the, "We Can Do It", in her arm. So, we're just going to section the rest of the hair back. You're just going to com, we're just going to comb the hair backward and gather it all up, get it out of the way. Nice. She's got tons of texture on her hair, so we don't even have to curl it. And Rosie has like like a little thing going on where there's some hair on top, so we're going to cheat it. So, we're just going to twist it and pin it going forward. So, you can take a large bobby pin and if you don't have a large one, you can crisscross two of them. So, we already got the look of it right here. So, then, we're going to take a bandana and we're going to fold it in half, like so, wrap it around her head right in between the bangs and tie a cute little knot right here. And there we have, fluff the curls and spray in place. And there you're done. I'm T. Cooper and I just showed you how to do a fun easy 1940s updo.
