Hi, everyone. I'm hair stylist Amanda Shackleton for, and I'm here today to show you how to wear your hair up if you've got prominent ears. A lot of times I get clients that are worried about their ears because maybe they stick out a little bit or they just don't want them to show. And I have to really be considerate of that when I'm going their hair. I find that the looser kind of side swept styles that I do are much easier to cover the ears without looking too obvious. And you definitely don't want to have the hair with some movement or some wave in to it because when it's pinned straight it's going to look too like you're trying to hard to cover the ears. So what I'm doing is I'm just going ahead and I swept the top of the ears, I swept the hair over the top of the ears and I'm doing so exactly the same thing on the other side. I like to leave a little bit of hair out on this side so that I can go ahead and make sure that the top part of the ear is covered and then I'm just going to pin this in and really kind of mess up the sides and the bun at the back a little bit. So let me pin this up just a teeny bit more and then take a look at it from the side and if you want to be extra sure that there's a little bit of distraction away from the top of your ears, you can go ahead and start pulling some little pieces out like that. So there you go. I'm Amanda Shackleton, and I've just shown you how to do an up do for people with prominent ears.
