Hi, everyone. I’m hairstylist Amanda Shackleton from NYBridalBeauty.com, and today I’m going to show you how to do a hairstyle if you have a tattoo on the back of your neck. I get a lot of brides that come in with tattoos, and they want me to cover them. The back of the neck actually isn’t a bad place to try to cover, because all you’re going to do is, if you’ve got medium-length hair, we’re just going to sweep it back onto the nape of your neck and then just let it stay there very naturally. And, there’s a lot of different ways you can do it, but you don’t want to pull it down into a ponytail, you want to actually have quite a bit of volume back here so that it covers both sides of the back of the neck and that the tattoo doesn’t show through. So, all I’m doing is taking pieces as I come down the back of the head and just very lightly incorporating them into the back of the hair with a pin. Remember, I said we want to keep it very natural and very loose. And actually, we want to keep it quite wide at the back. So, I’ve gone ahead and put a really pretty vintage pin in the hair. And now, to finish off, I’m just going to take a little bit more hairspray and my comb, and just kind of tease this up here just to make sure we have the width of the hair covering the tattoo. There you go. I’ve just shown you how to do a beautiful hairstyle to cover a tattoo on the back of your neck. I’m hairstylist Amanda Shackleton.
