Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I'm here to answer your question, does powder or cream blush show more wrinkles? The answer is that it really varies on the skin type from person to person, but we're going to swatch it out on our model today and figure out which one looks best for her. We're going to start out with the powder on one side of the cheek, you can pick out any color that you want. Universally powders are the one that do show more wrinkles just because it is a harsher medium that we're working with, but proper blending can definitely eliminate that and moisturizing underneath. With our models skin tone she has great texture on her cheeks so powder isn't really going to effect that too much. And if we're dealing with wrinkles on the cheeks just make sure that you don't go up too high, it's always nice to just make it ethereal and nice an radiant on the apples the cheeks where there's normally not many lines to deal with. Next we're going to go in with a cream, remember with creams a little bit goes a long way, they're a little bit harder to blend, but they do look more like the actual skin and that's what we're dealing with. These are two different colors, slightly, this one has a little bit more rose to it while the other one was orange. And we can see that this one looking nice like skin as well, but it does look more like it's radiating from within rather than just sitting on top of the skin. So we can see that ether one is a good option for our model. So just take a look at your skin on your cheeks and evaluate it and just watch it on your face too, that's always just the best tried and true way. But just remember universally cream does look more like skin and the powder does sit on top of the skin instead. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just answered your question, does powder or cream foundation show wrinkles more?
