Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, Professional Makeup Artist and today, I'm here to answer your question, "How do I use an illuminating powder brush? Well, as far as the powder brush goes, just make sure that it has a bunch of bristles on it and that it can use powder on it. But, as far as illuminating brush, the illumination comes from the substance that you're using. So, be sure too with your brush, normally an angled is going to be great for highlighting, to go in with a shimmer color that's going to give you the actual highlight because it has smaller reflective particles in it. And dip in with your brush and this is going to create a highlighting illumination. So, as we can see, there's just a little bit of glow going to the skin now and the thing with illuminating is that you don't want to do too much; a little bit goes a long way and especially if you're in a daylight, it'll pretty much show instantaneously. Highlight the high points of the face, normally above the cheekbone, slightly down the nose, if you don't have a big nose, on the forehead, maybe right along the brow bones and the chin as well. So, it's all about the technique with the brush and the substance of the highlighting powder you're using. There is no literal highlighting powder brush. I'm Erin Hendley and I just answered your question, "How to use a highlighting powder brush?"
