Hi, I'm Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you a foundation that doesn't accentuate flaky skin. So it's winter right now and the weather does some amazing crazy things to our skin. It often gets dry and a little bit flaky, especially with the wind and the temperature. So what we're going to do is if we normally opt for a matte or powder foundation, we're going to switch over to a liquid foundation. And as we can guess, a liquid foundation is water based so it's going to provide instant hydration and moisture that we don't normally see in other foundations such as our powders and our creams. Which often do accentuate any flakiness. So what we're doing is if we have any dry areas to make sure that we're definitely going over those with the water based foundation as that will add instant hydration to the skin. And often giving it a little but more life too. It's allowing it to look more supple. And it's just acting as a skin care as well. And that's the main factor that's important when considering a foundation for flaky skin, especially this time of year. Just put it where needed. If you want more coverage, you can go in with the areas that are not flaky with your normal powder foundation, that's fine, but if you're dealing with the flaky areas just remember to use a water base for moisture. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just showed you a foundation that doesn't accentuate flaky skin.
