Hi. I'm Erin Hendley, professional makeup artist, and today I'm going to show you the difference between luminous foundation and matte foundation. The main difference is in their finish. And that means that the luminous is pretty self explanatory, it's going to have a little bit of pearlescence shades in it, which is going to give it a little more radiation than a matte finish would. People tend to go for the luminous moisturizer foundation because it does add hydration to the skin. As you can see, it almost looks like there's just an instant added hydration and moisture to the skin. So it's good if we're dealing with maybe areas that are dehydrated or that have wrinkling or we just want a slight wash of a finish. Luminous foundations don't provide as much coverage as the matte ones do. And that's what I'm going to show you now. Matte's going to give coverage and it's not as shiny or luminescent. It will show in cracks more but you also don't have to layer it to get the coverage that you need. So it's recommended for women that are a little older and probably for people that have spots they want to cover up because it does give best coverage. And you can see the difference now. I'm Erin Hendley, and I just showed you the difference between luminous foundation and matte foundation.
