Hi, I'm Eric Quinn, I'm a personal trainer, and we are here in Club Metro, Jersey City, New Jersey. Today, we're going to talk about how elliptical machines benefit your glutes. Elliptical machines benefit your glutes the same way running or walking benefit your glutes. In order for you to walk, you have to target your buttocks muscles and the calve muscles and the hamstring muscles. Your core is got to be engaged in the motion, also. So, you have to work your buttocks. The exercise in the elliptical machines is one of the best. One of my favorites also, when you do a warm-up, when you do a cardiovascular exercises, also. In order for you to target more, your buttocks, when you're doing this exercise. What you want to, this is what I see, a lot of people tend to jump when they do the exercise. You want to let the work, let the legs do the work, you want to keep it smooth. And instead of jumping, you will want to, just let the legs do the work. And target, the muscles are supposed to be working while you're doing the exercise. Another thing that I do, is doing back pedal. I see a lot of boxers and a lot of football players doing back pedal, and it's the same thing. You're really targeting the area and it works the opposite side of the muscle too. So, you just go low and you allow the muscle to do the work. This has been Eric Quinn, and that's how elliptical machines benefit your glutes.
