Hey there, my name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister. And today, I want to demonstrate a few exercises that seniors can do at home. Now, as our population begins to age, we want to make sure that they age healthy and strong. So, one of the few exercises that just about all seniors can do is sitting down and getting back up. It seems very very simple, but we underestimate the power of those simple things. Getting up and down is a good cardio exercise, great balancing exercise and of course, it keeps those legs strengthen and the balance which is key especially as we get older, the balance has to remain strong. So, all we want to do is basically stand up and then sit down. If at first the senior knees, the help of the arm rest or something they can push off, but ultimately, we want to get to the point where we're standing up and we're sitting down without the aid of anything. Once we've done that a few times, we want to grab our resistance which every senior should have and then we're going to go into our bicep curls. And the bicep curls we not only work the biceps, but because we're standing up, again, we're working the balance, the bands with a different type of resistance on the body so the body has to work a bit harder, so we get the heart rate and muscle resistance building at the same time. My name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister and these are just a few exercises that seniors can do right at home.
