Hey there, my name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister. And today, I'm going to demonstrate what joints move during the push-up. Now, you know that push-up is my favorite upper body conditioner. So, let's start off with the basic push-up just to see what's working. We go down and up. We go down and up. Last one and up. If you notice during that movement, of course we've got your elbow, we've got some of these shoulders, we've got your wrist as well. Now, if you notice there, you've got your elbows of course going up and down, you've got your shoulder, you've got your wrist engage, you're using your chest as the prime mover to push the body away and you also of course using your biceps and your triceps. But, the biggest joint that we're using is that elbow. So, without the elbow, there is no push-up. My name is Jay Jones, Celebrity Peak Performance Coach and Fitness Minister and those are the joints that move during your push-up.
