Hi, this is Lisa with danceypantsfitness.com here at Anytime Fitness, South Longview, Texas. I'm going to show you some great floor exercises for building muscle on the thigh. The very first one I'm going to show you I just call a reach back. You are going to start in a squatted position. Reach behind you and push the hips up towards the ceiling. And you are going to repeat that on both sides. You are going to feel this in the front of the thighs especially the more you push through the hips. You are also going to feel it in the shoulders and the core. Bonus, we get lots of different muscles all in one workout. Love that. The very next one I'm going to show you is going to be lying on your side. This is a Pilates move but it's so effective. I love Pilates. Go ahead and pull your tummy in. Belly button is into your spine. You are going to tap one foot in front and the other one behind. Lift the leg high and try and keep everything in one line so you are not pulling your hips over. You are just going up and down really controlling that leg. This is going to give you nice beautiful leg muscles. Next one is going to be on your knees and you are going to kick back. I'm going to show you this one this way. You are going to kick back. My foot is flexed. Then you are going to sit up and do a lateral knee raise. Right back down, kick back, sit up, lateral knee raise. Repeat that 10 times on each leg. The very last one that I am going to show you are just leg circles from your knees. I'll show you this way. I'm going to go ahead and get on my knees. Take my leg out to the side. And I'm just going to do little tiny circles. Do 10 circles one way, 10 circles the other way. You are going to feel that everywhere the hip flexors, the rear, the quadriceps. It's another great exercise. And those are just a few exercises to do on the floor to build muscle on your legs.
