Hi, I'm Teca Thompson, Farm-to-Table Chef, and today we're talking about how to make heart shapes out of cantaloupe. So I've got a whole ripe cantaloupe right here, and I'm just gonna take my serrated knife, and I'm just gonna make slices down, I don't want to actually get into the seeds at all. So the slices I want to make are about a quarter of an inch. And as you can see, I'm almost getting into the seeds, but I'm just gonna do one more, and then we can always work around that little seed part. Okay. So I'm just going to remove the little part of the seed that we did get, just to make sure that none of them get into our designs, and I'm just going to lay it flat, take my heart-shaped cookie cutter, and just start making hearts, like this. Just pushing all the way through, and then just push them out the bottom of your cookie cutter. So I think it's important to probably cut the cantaloupe a little thinner then your cookie cutter, and then it will be easier to work through. But these will be great for garnish or a special fruit salad, or to serve frozen on a Popsicle stick in the summer time. See, you've got these nice, little, beautiful heart-shaped cantaloupes. And you can keep going. You can do this, you can do this, then you'll have a whole plate of beautiful heart-shaped cantaloupes. I'm Chef Teca Thompson, this is how to make cantaloupes into heart shapes. Thank you for watching.
