Hi. I'm Teca Thompson, Farm-to-Table Chef, and today I'm going to teach you how to make a pineapple boat. So you can either do it from a half pineapple or a quarter pineapple. I'm choosing to do a quarter pineapple just because I like the way it looks. A little cooler and a little more stylish. So I start with a fresh pineapple and I quarter it. So that's what I have here on my counter. So I'm just going to take my paring knife and I'm going to cut into the rind about 1/2 inch on each side. And then for the rest of the rind, I'm going to take my paring knife and I'[m just going to actually remove the whole thing. Like so. And this will be thrown away. Okay. Then I'm going to take my big knife and I'm going to cut underneath all the way to the peel. And then I'm going to slice the pieces in about 1/2 inch. And then what I like to do is I like to displace them a little bit like this. So you'll make sure that there is an even line running and this will make it easier for your guests to grab a piece of pineapple. And this is how you make a pineapple boat out of a quarter pineapple. And, as you can see, as soon as you're ready to have a piece, slice right out and eat it. I'm chef Teca Thompson. That is how to make a pineapple boat. Thank you for watching.
